How many images are in a model portfolio?

Reputable agencies and good self representation platforms won't accept low resolution or phone camera images. Generally 12-25 diverse images are appropriate for a modelling portfolio. 6-10 if you have a smaller budget and are starting out. The portfolio needs to represent a range of 3 or 4 photoshoot styles at a minimum which we can easily do for you in the one Session.
Why do I need 'natural no makeup' photos in my portfolio?
These images are referred to in the industry as 'polaroids' or 'digitals'. They are essential for clients to see your natural hair, skin and body shape. How you actually look when you arrive to a job. Our polaroids show how naturally gorgeous you are and will round out your professional portfolio to help you stand out.
How much money do models make?
You can earn anywhere from $95 per hour to $1500 per day for catalogue work and for advertising agencies $250 per hour or $10,000 per day for top end jobs.
Should I pay an agency lots of money to sign up?
No. Agencies make a commission from you, expect around 15-20%, when you start working. You can negotiate this once you start getting a catalogue of work. Some may charge a small fee of $50-$200 to be on their agency database. This investment means potential clients can view your portfolio and book you! Included in fees paid to the Agent should be insurance and public liability to protect you whilst you are on a modelling assignment.
Does height, size or age matter
There is a wide range of agencies, brands and clients who embrace diversity in all sizes, ages and ethnicities. Yes, some high end agencies have very strict requirements, however many brands now look for a strong cross section of different models to appeal to a wider audience.
