BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Booking conditions for Private & VIP Photoshoots 

Alise Black Photographic Studios is very popular and can be booked out weeks in advance.  To arrange an appointment we require a minimum deposit of $299 for Private Sessions and $500 for VIP Photoshoots. 

We understand that schedules do change, however, we ask that you please give us 7 days notice if you need to alter your appointment. Bookings cancelled or changed within 7 days of your scheduled time will incur a $299 charge, including 'no shows'. Requests to reschedule due to medial reasons are reviewed on a individual situation, see below.

Booking conditions for Branding and Commercial
Commercial clients, please refer to our Commercial Booking Terms and Conditions supplied with your quote. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

Rescheduling for Medical Reasons

Please notify us as early as possible to postpone your appointment. As we work in close proximity with our clients, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment if you arrive at our studio unwell with any contagious symptoms. Please refer to our COVID19 Safe Blog.

Staff Illness or Government required Covid shutdowns

We appreciate illness of staff members and government closures are highly inconvenient to our clients. In the extremely rare case staff are unwell and therefore we are unable to provide your Photography shoot, you will be notified immediately. Depending on the situation, we will offer compensation for the inconvenience of either a complimentary session fee or a free digital image to rebook a new time or a full refund of all booking fees paid should the new times offered not be suitable. Please understand this is very rare over the 20 years of business.

Styling Phone Consult

Please phone our Studio at least 7 days prior to your photoshoot, to ensure all your stylisation requirements and last minute details are arranged. Styling consultations ensure that our clients have the opportunity to communicate on clothing options, makeup, hair styling and other essential information to prepare. This consult assists us in creating a detailed 'photography run sheet'. This ensures that the photoshoot timing is correct and that we are able to prepare a high calibre photography shoot. If this consult is not provided 7 days prior, the photoshoot will be postponed, until such time that the required preparation is completed.

Who owns the copyright of the images?

Alise Black Photographic Studios owns and retains all ownership and copyright over the images photographed. When clients purchase digital copies of the images from private shoots, they are given a release to use them for their own personal promotion and reproduction worldwide. For example, print media, social media platforms, copies for family and on business website. See our products & packages guide for more details. Commercial clients have usage terms included in quotes.

Optional Model Release

Private & VIP Clients are given the option to sign a separate model release if you are happy to have the images taken of you in a Private or VIP photoshoot viewed publicly. The privacy and confidentiality of our clients is of the upmost importance.
 

What if I'm running late to my appointment?

Please call us immediately. We ask that you please ensure you arrive promptly at your scheduled arrival time. This is so you can complete your consultation form, prepare your outfits, begin to relax and make the most of the experience. We will always endeavour to accommodate all guests where possible, however we will not compromise a photoshoot or extend other client’s waiting times. For example, if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your arrival time this would compromise our next booked session at least 1 hour. In this instance, unfortunately you will miss out on your photoshoot and any monies paid will be forfeited as a cancellation fee. We trust you understand this, as it is in the best interests of all our guests.
